Investments in private equity include buyouts, co-investments, distressed debt, mezzanine, debt, private growth equity, and venture capital fund strategies. As of December 31, 2023, the fund's private equity returns for quarter, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years were 1.2%, 4.1%, 3.8%, 12.7%, and 11.5%, compared to the benchmark return of 1.5%, 5.2%, 6.1%, 11.5%, and 10%, respectively. The system's investments are governed by the executive management team and the investment advisory committee. Mr. Dale Folwell serves as Chairman, TSERS and LGERS.
