Laird Norton Family Foundation, based in Seattle, WA, is a private foundation, created and governed by Laird Norton family members, with a mission to 1) honor and reflect the family's shared values through giving and 2) engage the family in philanthropy as a platform for strengthening family connections. LNFF awards roughly $1.25 million per year in grants through five program areas of strategic importance to the family: Arts in Education, Climate Change, Human Services, Watershed Stewardship, and Sapling Fund (Youth Development). The Laird Norton family is a seventh generation family with nearly 500 living family members worldwide. In 2022, the Foundation continues to focus grant funding on support for current partners in order to respond to community need as quickly as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this action, we have limited capacity to take on new partnerships.
