About Libra Group

The Libra Group is the family office and family holding for the Logothetis family, led by George Logothetis and created in 2003 which comprises the diversified business interests of the Logothetis family. Today, Libra Group spans 30 locations across four continents and is predominantly focused on five core sectors: shipping, aviation, real estate, hospitality, and energy. In the renewable energy field, the firm invests in companies that develop solar, wind as well as waste-to-energy projects. The portfolio companies are owning and developing more than 200 projects. Portfolio companies include Greenwood Energy (working on cleantech solutions in Latin America), Euro Energy (realizing solar parks and wind farms in Europe) and Convergen (renewable energy service provider in the US). Part of our responsibility in running an international business is to maximise our contribution to communities among whom we work while minimising environmental impact. Another part of that responsibility is to actively give something back. We do this through a series of managed programs and initiatives which are broadly linked to the themes of community support and assisting people who have been denied or have limited opportunity. Our ten social responsibility initiatives include the Libra Internship Program that was founded in 2011 and has placed several hundred talented young people with the Libra Group and its subsidiaries around the world.
